We were working in the area and stumbled across South Plains. Good thing we did! The atmosphere was really cool. Reminded me of a really nice cabin in Colorado. No wait time to be seated. We ordered a few drinks and had a hard time deciding what we wanted to get. Everything sounded so good. We went with the fried mushrooms as an appetizer. We were expecting some small button mushrooms but when they came out, WOW! They were massive. Stuffed with boudin and cream cheese. Also got the Yardbird fries. Entree was the ribeye with veggies and onion rings. Everything we ordered was amazing and well seasoned. For dessert, we got the brownie with ice cream. Too bad we live over 200 miles away or I would visit here more often. I definitely recommend you stopping by and give this place a try. You won't regret it!

Seen this place and thought it was a activity venue! Being new, the building. It is simple gorgeous. Roomy with plenty of big screen TV‘’s. They have an outdoor are with a place for live music. So what about the food? Had the spinach dip and flat bread appetizer, simply loved the flat bread. Part cracker and part soft bread. Had the half rack of ribs, seasoned fries and Baked Beans. The ribs were pink and tender, with a unique honey based flavor, which I really liked. The seasoned potatoes were a awesome match and the baked beans rounded it out perfectly. My wife had the Ribeye, cooked just right with a flavor that reminded us of A1 sauce. Her sides were onion rings (best we have had so far in Louisiana) and Cinnamon Apples. The prices are not cheap, it is however worth every penny. One happy (and full) customer, we will be back!
My birthday dinner was amazing. Our server was the BEST. Caleb provided us with the best services. He served 30 people without any complaints. The food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner. Remind you this was Valentine Day Week 2025. There was several birthday celebrations going on at the same time but the Service was TOP NOTCH. Thanks Caleb for everything !!!!
I was pleased with the experience I had here. The staff was pleasant and I didn't have any issues with anything or anyone. The staff was attentive and the wait time was half of what they quoted. I don't ask for much when I go to a restaurant, mostly just that the food is hot when brought out. That it was and it was tasty as well. We had the boudin egg rolls, seafood pasta, fried catfish and shrimp, onion rings, seasoned potatoes, cinnamon apples, and a kids meal. Prices are reasonable for the food and atmosphere provided. We spent around 80 including the tip. All of it was great and I will probably go back again.
This was my first time visiting South Plains Everything was GREAT!! I typically don't eat onion rings, but these were BY FAR the best onion rings I've ever had!! I ordered the Crawfish Fettuccine, and it was amazing!! I will definitely be back the next time I visit B.R.
Presley was our Bartender, let me just say she had the answer for every question i had and knew the menu and restaurant like the back of her hand. She was impressive and so was the atmosphere, food and building. We sat at the bar and the bar chairs were so comfortable finally someone got it right on comfort. Food and appetizers were great, service was awesome we never went thirsty or had to ask for anything. We will be back and we will be bringing more people. 10/10 recommend this restaurant.
